The trial and the timeline (indicated below) can be found at :
Right now we are at point 110 (reasonable doubt 110) at the 47:13 time mark, on Day One of the trial and
so far in the Summary of Reasonable Doubts, we are still at Day One of the trial as of the 47:10 time mark where
we have 109 reasonable doubt points as of 2/14/25 which can be found at:
The above summary of the reasonable doubt thread covers day one at :
And now to point 110 (reasonable doubt 110) at the 47:13 time mark, on Day One of the trial:
In the above timeline, the prosecutor uses the word "comfortable" .
Why was it important for Jodi to make Travis feel comfortable ?
Why was it important for Jodi to have an elaborate photoshoot in order to help Travis build his photo resume ?
Why was Jodi doing Travis a favor by building his photo resume ?
Did the defense find out ? or as usual, were they not interested in building a self-defense case but more interested in just saving Jodi’s life since saving a life costs a lot less than trying to build a self-defense case.
So why did Jodi want to please Travis by doing an elaborate photoshoot ?
Could it be because she was getting Travis comfortable enough for her to break the news that their sexual therapy sessions would have to come to an end ?
Since she was thinking of finally settling down with Ryan Burns ?
So again, do we have ineffective assistance of counsel ( an appeal issue at the ninth circuit) in not asking Jodi about the reason behind the elaborate photoshoot ?
Why did she want Travis to be “comfortable” ? the word used by the prosecutor.
The prosecutor used the word “comfortable” in the context of Jodi getting Travis to “let his guard down” in order to allegedly carry out the plan to kill Travis.
If the defense found out the reason for the elaborate photoshoot, could that have created a reasonable doubt in at least one juror that Jodi’s plan was to kill Travis ?
We are in agreement with the prosecutor when he implied that Jodi’s intention was to make Travis feel “comfortable” but sadly
the defense did not challenge the prosecutor as to the reason.
At the same time, we also know that during the following time period:
at 5:22:16 pm, first photo of travis in the shower and
at 5:29:20 pm, the last photo of travis' face in which he was looking at Jodi.
In the above time period,
for a total of almost 7 minutes, Travis did not look happy or even comfortable at all in any of the photos showing his face.
Why did the defense not find out what Jodi was telling Travis between 5:22:16 pm and 5:29:20 pm ?
Could Jodi have been encouraging Travis to be with Mimi between 5:22:16 pm and 5:29:20 pm ?
in order to prepare him for the “bad news”, and the "bad news" being,
Jodi finally telling him that the sex therapy sessions (in which she role-plays a little girl in braids) would have to stop ? and
that would explain his “sadness” between 5:22:16 pm and 5:29:20 pm and Travis
sitting in the shower stall at 5:29:20 pm could be because of “despair” at hearing the sex therapy sessions would have to stop, and
upon hearing the "bad news" ,
Travis was not willing to continue with the photo session which made him sit down in the shower stall at 5:29:20 pm.
Could the defense have brought in an expert to answer the following question ?
So what made Jodi visit Travis on 6/4/08 ?
(a)Travis’ persistence and his addiction to Jodi.
(b) Travis addiction to Jodi overcame her fear of visiting Travis since he was raging on 5/26/08 implying that she did not deserve to be alive
(c)Jodi probably thought that she could help Travis with his “little girl” fantasies while she was in a romantic relationship with Ryan Burns.
(d) Travis’ sexual stamina was very attractive to Jodi
So is there reasonable doubt that Jodi wanted Travis to be “comfortable” ( in the words of the prosecutor ) in order to kill him or
is there a more reasonable explanation (if the defense had brought in an expert to explain Jodi’s behavior ) as to why Jodi wanted Travis to be comfortable and the defense expert could have given the following reasons:
Travis’ rage on 5/26/08 in which he implied that Jodi did not deserve to be alive and so it was Jodi’s goal to not have Travis raging again on 6/4/08
2. Did the defense find out whether Jodi planned the photoshoot before getting to Travis’ home on 6/4/08 or was it the result of Jodi realizing that she truly wanted to be with Ryan Burns and so decided that the photoshoot would be a gentle way to “break the news” to Travis that Travis’ “litte girl” fantasy role-play therapy sessions would have to stop.
Summary of point 110 (reasonable doubt 110) at the 47:13 time mark, on Day One of the trial:
In the above timeline, the prosecutor clearly implies that Jodi wanted Travis to get “comfortable” in order to surprise Travis with a knife to the chest while getting Travis to sit in the shower stall.
So is it reasonable to give an alternate explanation to the prosecutor implying that the reason Jodi wanted Travis to be “comfortable” is to surprise him with a knife to the chest ?
What could the defense have found out if they took the time to get a hypnotherapist to find out from Jodi why she wanted Travis to be “comfortable” on 6/4/08 ?
For a start, the hypnotherapist could have found out, to what extent did Travis implying on 5/26/08 that Jodi did not deserve to be alive, play a role in Jodi wanting Travis to be “comfortable” on 6/4/08 ?
We know that Jodi did not plan to visit Travis on 6/4/08 due to
multiple confirmations that she was going to attend training in Utah on 6/4/08 and
her call to Ryan Burns on 6/3/08 confirming that she was going to be in Utah 12 hours later, on 6/4/08.
So what made Jodi end up in Travis’ house on 6/4/08 ? in light of her fear of Travis when he implied on 5/26/08 that she did not deserve to be alive ?
Could the defense have brought in an expert to answer the following question ?
So what made Jodi visit Travis on 6/4/08 ?
(a)Travis’ persistence and his addiction to Jodi.
(b) Travis addiction to Jodi overcame her fear of visiting Travis since he was raging on 5/26/08 implying that she did not deserve to be alive
(c)Jodi probably thought that she could help Travis with his “little girl” fantasies while she was in a romantic relationship with Ryan Burns.
(d) Travis’ sexual stamina was very attractive to Jodi.
4/2 Update:
Did Jodi achieve her goal of keeping Travis calm and “comfortable “ on 6/4/08 as she tried to do on 5/26/08 by saying he was the “light to the world” when Travis was raging and implying that she did not deserve to be alive?
According to the prosecutor, Jodi achieved her goal but did she ?
Could a hypnotherapist have tried to find out why both Jodi and Travis looked sad in the photos taken on 6/4/08 that does not indicate a level of comfort that the prosecutor was trying to say that Jodi achieved ?
(to be continued).
